Press release – Kalliopé strengthens its position in Corporate, M&A and Private Equity

Law firm Kalliopé welcomes two new partners, Guillaume Martinet and Alexia Berbain-Faguer, to its Corporate – M&A – Private Equity team.

Guillaume Martinet works with French and multinational groups, mid-cap companies, SMEs, growth companies and managers as well as public sector companies and family offices. He supports them in their acquisitions, disposals, equity investments, strategic partnerships and transfers. He also advises his clients on issues related to corporate governance and, more broadly, company law. He has also developed a recognized practice in the area of group reorganizations. Guillaume began his career at Price Waterhouse Juridique & Fiscal, before joining Hoche Avocats, where he practiced from 1995 to 2022, then creating Lexens. He holds a master’s degree in business law from Paris Panthéon-Assas University and a DESS in corporate taxation from Paris Dauphine.

Alexia Berbain-Faguer began her career in 2001 with Hoche Avocats, where she worked as Counsel in the M&A team. More specifically, she is involved in mergers and acquisitions and fundraising with a diverse customer base made up of investment funds, managers and founders. Alexia supports them in their equity investments, external growth as well as in the design and implementation of restructuring or transfer operations. Over the last 10 years, she has developed specific expertise in support and fundraising for pre-seed and growth capital start-ups.

Their arrival marks a turning point in Kalliopé’s development which significantly strengthens its offering in the areas of corporate, mergers & acquisitions and private equity. The team now has eight lawyers with Tanguy d’Everlange, historical partner of the department, Rodolphe Cavroy, partner in charge of Banking Finance and Regulated Funds practice, and Thomas Gaborit, Ava Sereshki, Karim Bouhali and Grégoire de Bayser, associates.

Kalliopé thus increases its capacity to act in large-scale operations and in a wide range of sectors, in particular new technologies, media, distribution and industry, which are in addition to renewable energies, real estate and infrastructure.

The team works closely with Kalliopé’s Contracts, Litigation, Intellectual Property, Employment- Social Security and Compliance – CSR teams.
