The law firm Kalliopé (Kalliopé) continues to expand by setting up a brand new Intellectual Property (IP) department.
The new IP team, headed by Jérôme Buscail, will further enhance the range of services already offered by Kalliopé in private and public business law, thereby responding to the cross-functional issues and needs of its clients in relation to the protection, the development and the use of their intangible assets and personal data.
Jérôme Buscail has over 25 years’ experience in intellectual property law. He previously worked at the BIC and Danone groups, where he served as the head of intellectual property for almost 10 years. In 2011, he co-founded DBK, a law firm renowned for its expertise in intellectual property. Jérôme joins Kalliopé, together with Soraia Santos, associate, and Chloé Laure, paralegal.
The scope of activity of the new team is wide, spanning literary and artistic property as well as industrial property. In the area of personal data protection, the team handles both compliance and litigation matters.
The team has developed a strong expertise in a variety of sectors, ranging from industry to new technologies and R&D, including fashion, design, art, sport, media, advertising, entertainment and communication, and complements Kalliopé’s strong sector expertise in industry, energy, infrastructure, real estate development and investment.
The team will work closely with Kalliopé’s Contract Drafting and Negotiation, Litigation – Arbitration – Mediation, Compliance – CSR, Corporate – M&A – Private Equity and Employment – Social Security teams.
